This Brooklyn neighborhood between the Manhattan and Brooklyn bridges ("Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass"; no flying elephants!) offers the perfect blend of cutting-edge art and food. 

DUMBO has rapidly transformed from warehouses to one of New York's trendiest neighborhoods with artists’ studios, galleries, chic stores and upscale residential buildings.  Its proximity to the water offers spectacular views of Lower Manhattan and the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. 

We meet for brunch at a very cool (and delicious) restaurant in Vinegar Hill, a tiny enclave just blocks from DUMBO.  In DUMBO we make several stops for some of the best desserts in town.  The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory provides us with incredible views of Lower Manhattan.  Chocolate truffles and rich hot chocolate await us at Jacques Torres, world-renowned chocolate maker.

Our tour also takes us to various galleries exhibiting works of local and (yet) undiscovered artists, as well as a stroll through Brooklyn Bridge Park.
